Lara Wood, MN, RN, CPN, CPPS is the Senior Associate Clinical Director of Children’s Hospitals’ Solutions for Patient Safety (SPS) and serves as the Patient Safety Advisor at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Lara holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Pacific Lutheran University and a Master of Nursing from the University of Washington Tacoma. With over 20 years of experience in pediatric healthcare, Lara has held various roles, including acute care pediatric nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialist, and quality and safety leader at Mary Bridge Children’s and Seattle Children’s Hospital. She is a Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) and a Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS). In her current role with SPS, Lara helps oversee the Network safety portfolio in collaboration with the SPS leadership team and has the honor of partnering with passionate volunteers from across the Network to advance safety outcomes for hospitalized children throughout the United States and Canada.
