From June 16th to 20th, our gathering at the Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel in Columbus, OH, promises three immersive days packed with insights, innovation, and collaboration. Learning Teams Inc will share the learnings from a 3-year project exploring dynamic risk in a high risk industry, to understand the roles of work design and worker capability and capacity using the HOP Principles and applying tools such Learning Teams, the 4Ds.

The risks and rewards in using different types of Artificial Intelligence technology from;
• moving plant and equipment
• observing work in the external environment
• to recognising patterns of weak signals in normal everyday work from worker insights and stories when work is frustrating, challenging, demanding, changing, and surprising.

And why being curious with a hint of chronic unease is important in highly adaptive work to make the complexity of work more visible and the role in changing work design.

Organizations need to shift from talking about risk to acknowledging that work equals risk and that work is messy and will always be messy in dynamic risk environments. And by treating workers as the solution and not the problem the mess doesn’t look that bad.
